Our award-winning Q-10 Signature speaker cable features a unique four conductor multiple gauge array, and is manufactured using advanced winding geometries, which enhances performance and transparency, by tightly controlling magnetic fields.

The conductors are DH Labs’ proprietary treated silver-coated Continuous CrystalTM copper. With an oxygen content of only 7 parts per million, these conductors have an ultra-smooth surface, to deliver the highest possible sound quality. The dielectric is pure PTFE in a very precise, pressurized extrusion process. The electrical and physical properties of PTFE make it an ideal dielectric material for speaker cables.

The combination of two 12 AWG and two 14 AWG conductors equates to a robust 10 AWG cable to satisfy different applications. Q-10 Signature can be run straight, as an internal bi-wire, or as an external bi-wire. Understanding Copper Grain Structure in Audio Cables

The term grain refers to the microscopic fractures or boundaries within the surface of copper. This matters because audio signals primarily travel along the surface of the conductor, and each grain boundary can introduce resistance and signal distortion.

Standard OFHC (Oxygen-Free High Conductivity) Copper – Commonly used in many audiophile-grade cables, this copper contains approximately 1,500 grains per foot.

Linear-Crystal or LC-OFC Copper – A higher grade of copper that has been carefully drawn to reduce grain boundaries, resulting in about 70 grains per foot. This refinement enhances conductivity and signal clarity.

Typical OHNO Copper (Offshore) – Produced using heated mold continuous casting, this process yields ultra-long, single-crystal copper grains—often up to 200 feet in length. It’s a step above in terms of signal purity and performance.
